Find answers to common questions about the Liberian e-Visa application process.

Requirements

What documents do I need for my e-Visa application?

You will need the following documents:

  • A valid passport with at least 6 months validity beyond your planned stay
  • A recent passport-style photograph (JPEG or PNG format)
  • Proof of accommodation in Liberia (hotel booking or invitation letter)
  • Return flight ticket or onward travel itinerary
What are the photo requirements?

Your passport photo should meet these requirements:

  • Recent photo taken within the last 6 months
  • Clear, front-facing view of your face
  • Plain light background (white or off-white preferred)
  • JPEG or PNG format, maximum file size 5MB
  • No glasses, hats, or head coverings (unless worn for religious reasons)
Do I need travel insurance?

While travel insurance is not required for the e-Visa application, we strongly recommend obtaining comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, trip cancellation, and lost luggage. This will help protect you during your visit to Liberia.

Can I apply for multiple travelers at once?

Yes! You can include multiple travelers in a single application. This is perfect for families or groups traveling together. Each traveler will need their own passport information and photo, but you only need to complete and pay for one application. The fee is $150 per person.

Process & Timeline

How long does the e-Visa application process take?

Most applications are processed within 3-5 business days. During peak travel seasons, processing may take up to 7 business days. We recommend applying at least 2 weeks before your planned travel date to allow for any unexpected delays.

What happens after I submit my application?

After you submit your application and complete payment:

  1. You will receive a confirmation email with your application reference number
  2. Our team will review your application and documents
  3. If additional information is needed, we will contact you via email
  4. Once approved, you will receive your e-Visa via email
  5. Print your e-Visa and present it upon arrival in Liberia
How can I check my application status?

You can check your application status at any time by visiting our Status Check page. You will need your application reference number (format: LV-XXXX-XXXX) and the email address used during application. You can also find status updates in the confirmation email we sent when you submitted your application.

How long is the e-Visa valid?

The Liberian e-Visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issue. You must enter Liberia within this period. The visa allows for a single entry and permits a stay of up to 30 days. If you need to extend your stay, you must apply to the Liberia Immigration Service after arrival.

Troubleshooting

My payment failed. What should I do?

If your payment failed:

  • Check that your card details were entered correctly
  • Ensure your card has sufficient funds and is authorized for international transactions
  • Try using a different payment card
  • Contact your bank if the issue persists

Your application will be saved as a draft. Return to the application using the link in your confirmation email to complete payment.

I made a mistake on my application. Can I correct it?

If you have not yet completed payment, you can return to your application using the link in your confirmation email and make corrections. Once payment is completed and the application is submitted, you will need to contact us for any corrections. Minor corrections may be possible, but significant changes may require a new application.

I did not receive my confirmation email. What should I do?

If you have not received your confirmation email:

  • Check your spam or junk folder
  • Add our email address to your contacts to prevent future emails from being filtered
  • Wait up to 15 minutes as email delivery can sometimes be delayed
  • Use the Status Check page to verify your application was received
My application was denied. What are my options?

If your application was denied, you will receive an email explaining the reason. Common reasons include:

  • Incomplete or incorrect information
  • Documents that did not meet requirements
  • Passport validity issues

In most cases, you may submit a new application with corrected information or documents. Please review the denial reason carefully before reapplying.
